Terms of use

These terms cover your use of the Anamnesis website and tool. By using either, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What Anamnesis is, and is not

Anamnesis is in development. It prepares a first draft of a medical chronology: every entry is quoted from a record page and points to its Bates number. It is a reading aid for a qualified physician.

• It does not give medical advice, diagnose anyone, or decide what caused an injury.
• It does not judge whether a legal claim is supported.
• It can miss things or make mistakes. Every entry must be checked against the source page by the physician who relies on it, and that physician remains responsible for any opinion they give.
• It is not yet intended for use in a real clinical or legal matter.

Who may use the tool

The public pages are open to everyone. The tool is open only to the project team and people the team invites. Keep your sign-in to yourself and use the tool only for the cases you have been asked to work on.

Acceptable use

• Upload or view records only where you are authorised to do so.
• Do not try to reach cases, data or parts of the system you have not been given access to.
• Do not copy records or chronologies out of the tool except for the case they belong to.
• Do not disrupt the service or try to get around its security.

Records and content

Case records remain the property of whoever provided them. The website's design, text and code belong to the project team. How we handle personal information is described in the privacy policy.

No warranty

The site and tool are provided as they are, without any promise that they are complete, accurate or always available. To the extent the law allows, the project team is not liable for any loss arising from their use.
