Medical records, in the order they happened.

Anamnesis reads a stack of medical-legal records and returns a dated chronology for the physician expert. Every line is quoted word for word from the page and carries its Bates number, so it can be checked in seconds.

From a stack of pages to a chronology

  1. Records arrive out of order.

A family practice, a grocery store's incident report, an urgent care visit, two orthopedic follow-ups. Real cases run to thousands of pages, with no index.

  2. It reads every page and points at the lines that matter.

Complaints, findings, imaging, diagnoses, and what the patient denied.

  3. Each line is cut from the page, word for word.

Code cuts the quote, not the model, so nothing is paraphrased. Each one keeps its Bates number.

  4. Then everything goes in the order it happened.

Dates come from the page itself. The physician reads the history in minutes and can check any line against its source.

Point at a line in the chronology, or tap it, to see the exact words it was cut from.

What it will not do

A physician signs their name to the chronology. These rules are written into the code and checked by tests on every change.

It never writes evidence in its own words.
A model may point at a line. Code cuts the quote from the page, character for character, and checks it again before it is shown.
It never guesses a date.
Dates are read from the page by code. A date it had to work out is marked as worked out, with the reason.
It never decides what the evidence means.
No verdicts on causation and no judgement of whether a claim holds up. The attorney's account is kept apart from the record.
It never drops a page quietly.
Pages it could not read, or read only in part, are listed for review with the reason.

Why the name

In Greek, anamnesis means recollection. In medicine it is the patient's history, as the patient tells it. The rings in the mark grow out from a single point the way a tree lays down its years: one event, then everything after it, in order.
